In Outlook you get the visual cue that you are working offline or online. You can see this in status bar at the bottom of your Outlook window. Using Outlook in offline does not allow you to send or receive mails until you go online. · If your Internet connection is working, then there might be an issue with the mail server.

· If you are able to send and receive mail on the website, then your mail server is working fine. But you may need to update your computer or there might be a problem with your account settings.

1. You can choose Work Offline and check your status bar on the Send/Receive tab. If you see the status as Working Offline, then repeat the action until you see the status changing to connected.
2. You can install any required updates.
3. In order to eliminate the possibility that there is a fault in your current Outlook profile then you can create a new profile. If you open Outlook with this new profile and you still find it disconnected then you can try removing your account and then adding it back again.
a. Right click your account name in the Folder pane and after that choose Remove <name of the account>.
b. Then you can follow the steps in adding the account again to proceed.
